After four years, the 1st large-scale project fostering the adoption of digital farming tools and practices in the EU agri-food sector touches to its end
As the Internet of Food and Farm 2020 (IoF2020) is coming to an end, it is time to wrap up and to meet, debate and exchange knowledge gathered during last 4 years, from a safe distance, in a digital event on 16-18 March 2021. Register now to secure your spot and get all relevant information on a large-scale pilot under Horizon 2020 investigating and fostering the large-scale implementation of the Internet of Things in European food and farming. CEMA is a project partner and represents the European agricultural machinery manufacturers.
One of the most important aspects of IoF2020 is its innovation ecosystem of agri-tech stakeholders all over Europe and beyond, being reflected in the program, featuring interactive sessions, multiple workshops held by the project consortium and use case partners alongside contributions from external experts. Make sure to mark the date in your calendar since good things come to people who wait, but better things come to the ones who innovate and think ahead.
Besides numerous networking possibilities, the event will address three main aspects, relevant for IoF2020 and the agricultural sector:
- March 16: State of the art technology including presentation of 33 Use cases;
- March 17: Lessons learned during the project’s research and IoF2020 impact, and;
- March 18: The heritage of IoF2020 including policy recommendations based on the project findings.
We will have representatives in several sessions, including plenary. Mr. Jerome Bandry, CEMA Secretary-General will provide our reflection on the IoF2020 policy recommendations focusing on how those fit into the European agricultural machinery agenda, while Mr. Ivo Hostens, CEMA Technical Director will discuss Ethical aspects of the data governance highlighting barriers still to overcome and next steps when it comes to European data space.
