Open Call on Industrial Challenges

2020 10 agrobofood Industrial challenges OCTo boost the adoption of robotics in the agricultural sector and strengthen its network, Horizon 2020 project agROBOfood, launched its 2nd Open Call on Industrial Challenges. The Call aims at selecting approximately eight (8) Industrial Challenges that tackle a commercial need within agri-food and offer a solution based on robotic technologies.

Through this call, agROBOfood is aiming to distribute 2.7 M€ for the direct benefit of European SMEs (up to 300,000€ per proposal).

The overall concept of the Industrial Challenges is that real industry problems seek real tech solutions. The project has therefore defined 5 real industry challenges, each composed of a technical component and a complementary component:

a) The technical component requires the development or improvement of (existing) robotic technology-based solution, while

b) The complementary component requires a socio-economic analysis or assessments of complementary social, economic, environmental, or ethical aspects of the newly designed solution.

Specific information about the topics of all challenges can be found in the Guide for Applicants – Industrial Challenges and on the dedicated page.
