Urgency procedure now hoped to deliver solution

CEMA welcomes that the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament are now reportedly in common agreement to urgently support the solution proposed by the European Commission on 2 June (COM(2020)233 final) to the pandemia disruptions affecting the completion of tractors and non-road mobile machinery fitted with existing transition engines within the deadlines of 30 June 2020 and 31 December 2020 set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/1628.
We look forward to the confirmation of this agreement under the urgency procedure during the upcoming European Parliament plenary on the 8th of July followed by a written procedure in the Council and leading to a publication in the Official Journal as soon as possible.
