Around 100 participants from farmers unions, European institutions and farm input suppliers participated in this new initiative of COPA. CEMA like the European Crop Protection Association, Fertlizers Europe, FEFAC (industrial compound feed) or the Co-operative banks association were among the presenters.
Peter Pascher from the German Farmers Union presented the Agricultural Business and Investment Barometer for Germany, a quarterly survey among more than 1000 German farmers and contractors to learn about their economic situation, their opinions and investment plans. This project co-financed also by VDMA according to Peter Pascher should be extended to a European survey.
Different experts of COPA working groups presented their outlooks on the livestock sector as well as the crop sector. The presentations will be stored on the CEMA website, once they are available from COPA-COGECA.
